20 N.J. alums who starred in Penn Relays

It's a special honor to compete at the Penn Relays as a high school athlete. It's an even rarer feat to compete at the Penn Relays as a high school athlete and then again as a college athlete.

This past weekend, hundreds of former athletes from New Jersey competed at the 124th Penn Relays. Some won wheels like Villanova's Ben Malone (pictured above, second to the left) while others repeated as champion in field events.

Below are 20 Garden State alums who put together the biggest performances over the course of three days at the University of Pennsylvania's Franklin Field. We know there were plenty of other N.J. alums who made their return to the Penn Relays, but we wanted to highlight the best of the best.

Jason Awotunde, Delsea, South Carolina

Awotunde (pictured above at last year's Penn Relays) competed in both the college shot put and discus championships. The defending shot put champion placed third in the event with a 63-3 and added a fourth-place finish in the discus with a 185-2.

Devin Bradham, Williamstown, Penn State

Bradham (pictured above during the 2018 Penn Relays) was one of two high jumpers in the college event to clear 6-11 1/2. Bradham ultimately finished second as it took him more attempts to clear at the previous height.

Louis Corgliano, Hammonton, Maryland

Corgliano (pictured above during the Shore Coaches Invitational in 2013) was 15th in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, crossing the finish line in 9:12.01. In that same race, former Old Bridge standout and current assistant coach Travis Mahoney won the race, winning in 8:43.21 by a 13-second margin.
