Twenty-one teachers from across New Jersey have been selected to compete for one of the state's top honors in education. The state Department of Education on Thursday announced the Teacher of the Year in each county. The 21 winners are now finalists for the state Teacher of the Year award.“These 21 educators exemplify the outstanding level of talent and commitment that exists in New Jersey’s public schools," Gov. Phi Murphy said. "Their hard work and dedication is a critical part of making our state’s public education system one of the best in the country."The winner will be selected by a panel of educators and announced in October. All state teachers of the year are honored in an annual ceremony at the White House. Here are the 21 finalists:
