A lawyer at the Department of Justice's Inspector General office faces questions after a social media account bearing her name endorsed posts berating President and Republicans and praising Democrats.Inspector General lawyers are traditionally sober nonpartisan professionals but a report from uncovered blatantly partisan social media activity and donations from Deborah Zerwitz, one of the highest paid lawyers in the building.Zerwitz, a former counsel to President ’s former Assistant Attorney General Leslie Caldwell, is currently working to take down former DOJ officials who served under Attorney General and opened a probe into deaths at nursing homes during the pandemic.
