A long-haired bat boy drew the ire of announcer Michael Kay in Cleveland on Monday for failing to adhere to the club's 47-year-old personal grooming policy.'Strange to see a Yankee uniform, somebody wearing that uniform with that sort of hair,' Kay mused in the seventh inning of Monday's 3-2 loss to the Guardians. 'If the players aren't allowed, I don't know if the bat boy should be allowed.'The problem for Kay was that the bat boy's long blonde locks and patchy facial hair do not conform to the Yankees' clean-cut aesthetic – a standard that was implemented by late owner George Steinbrenner when he bought the team in 1976.
