A 97-year-old former Nazi death camp secretary was today handed a two-year suspended sentence in Germany over her complicity in the murder of more than 10,000 people – sparking fury among Holocaust survivors.Irmgard Furchner, who has been dubbed the 'secretary of evil', is one of just a few women to be tried in Germany for Nazi-era crimes in decades in what prosecutors have said could be one of the country's last trials over crimes committed during the Holocaust.Presiding judge Dominik Gross today read out Furchner's sentence for her role in what prosecutors called the 'cruel and malicious murder' of more than 10,000 prisoners at the Stutthof camp in Nazi-occupied between 1943 and 1945.
