Apple fan explains what green dot on back of your charger plug means

One user is warning owners who own charger plugs with no green dot on the back that they should stop using them.

Kenny Jahng explained in a July 23 that the green dot behind an Apple adapter was the result of its voluntary 2008 recall of charger plugs sold with original or 3G iPhones.

The green dot on the bottom of the ultracompact adapters indicates the item is redesigned and safe to use.
