French art chiefs have told social networks to end their 'ludicrous' policies of censoring nude masterpieces.The prestigious Academy of Fine Arts said paintings had been banned online because of overly stringent rules on what is allowable.The institution, set up in 1648 to defend ''s artistic heritage', said there had been innumerable examples of censorship that 'considerably hamper' the promotion of artwork on those platforms.
