The rise of "cancel culture" may have done some reputation damage, but by and large, the past ten years have been pretty good to celebrities. As the world moves from one decade into the next, we're taking a look back at just how much things have changed for a number of famous faces. When we entered 2010, Hollywood was a pretty different place: Franchise fans were all about "Transformers," not Marvel, and dominating the music charts were the Black Eyed Peas. (These days, excitedly blasting "I Gotta Feeling" at a party will just get you a lot of vaguely annoyed looks.)From athletes to actors to pop stars, these were the biggest celebrity comebacks of the decade. Cheers to redemption!Shia LaBeoufShia LaBeouf was the highest-grossing actor of 2009, but within just a few years, he would essentially find himself out of work thanks to several arrests and a subsequent entrance into rehab. But in a particularly moving development, the actor's stay in treatment led him to write the screenplay for "Honey Boy," an autobiographical story of his childhood in the spotlight. The movie has generated Oscar buzz, and LaBeouf has even publicly thanked one of the police officers who arrested him years back, citing that moment as being crucial to his eventual recovery.Tiger WoodsThe first half of the decade was not good to Tiger Woods, although it can certainly be argued that he brought the issues upon himself. In early 2010, the pro golfer saw his career in shambles in the aftermath of a dramatic cheating scandal that blew up his marriage. He laid low for quite some time but resurfaced with yet another rough headline in 2017, when he was arrested for driving under the influence. In addition to these setbacks, injuries also forced Woods to undergo multiple serious knee and back surgeries. But, remarkably enough, the end of the decade would mark a career —if not lifetime — high for Woods when he conquered the 2019 Masters. Then, in May, he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
