Being obese in middle age could shave up to five years off your life, a study suggests.Scientists who followed nearly 30,000 people for up to 50 years found those of a healthy weight died aged 82.3, on average. People in the fattest category, defined as having a body mass index (BMI) of more than 40, lived to just 77.7.
