A High School baseball umpire was shot in the face and killed after asking his neighbors to keep it down because he had work the next morning. Carlso Rivera, 50, was shot in the second-floor apartment building on North Whipple Street last Sunday night when going to see his neighbors, reports. Police said the man had reported a loud disturbance that was keeping him up, and Rivera was shot in the face and body when stepping out of his apartment.
