President Biden defended pardoning his son Hunter and rejected that it set a dangerous precedent as he shared what made him reverse course.

Hunter was convicted by a jury on federal gun crimes and separately pleaded guilty to a $1.4 million tax evasion charges.

But Biden, 82, for months had maintained that he would not let Hunter off the hook.
