Biden will invoke Reagan's speech to mark D-Day anniversary

President will warn about the threats to democracy when he speaks to the world from to mark the anniversary of D-Day, but domestic politics will play a large part in his first foreign trip of the 2024 election year.

During his five-day trip to France, Biden will defend democracy in the same spot Ronald Reagan praised the patriotism of veterans - Pointe du Hoc - trying to invoke the same feelings of patriotism that Reagan inspired in his 14-minute address.
