Memory loss has been reversed in mice by injecting them with brain fluid from younger rodents – raising hope for future treatments. Researchers took cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) – a fluid that bathes the brain tissue and spinal cord of all vertebrates – from young adult mice (10 weeks old).They then infused CSF – which contains several protein growth factors that aid normal brain development – into the brains of old mice (18 months old).
