Tens of thousands of Americans have missed out on breast and lung screenings over the two years since the Covid pandemic began, another study has found.Researchers at the University of looked at data from 5.3million screenings recorded annually in the three years before Covid to establish a baseline and compared them to those carried out in 2020 to 2022.They found there were up to 24 percent fewer screenings for lung cancer during the pandemic, and 14 percent fewer for breast cancer, the equivalent of about 54,000 fewer for lung cancer alone.
