Authorities have been left stumped as two occupants who were inside a car that plunged 1,000ft are yet to be located. A white Cadillac Escalade went over the side of a road around 2am Sunday near Deer Creek Road and Pacific Coast Highway, according to Officer Ryan Ayala with the Highway Patrol. On Monday, one of the occupants, who told police he was able to break free from the vehicle and hike to a nearby road, reported the crash and notified authorities that two others 'were unaccounted for,' the department said.
