It's quick to make, gives you a boost in the morning – and now, it seems, one cup of coffee even makes multi-tasking easier.Researchers asked 35 people to press different buttons when they saw either the number one or the number two on a screen. They then gave them two more buttons to press when they heard two different sounds playing at the same time. Those who did the experiment without drinking a coffee beforehand were around 0.68 seconds slower when pressing multiple buttons compared to when they were focusing on just one task. But those who were allowed a cup of instant black coffee were only 0.54 seconds slower.
