Liberal news anchors Rachel Maddow and Jake Tapper faced an embarrassing on-air struggle as they desperately tried to explain to the world the meaning behind popstar Charli XCX's Gen Z-inspired declaration that 'is brat.'

British singer Charli, 31, posted a tweet after endorsed her for the Democratic presidential nominee and announced that he was dropping out of the race on Sunday.

It was a reference to her latest album, called Brat, which came out in June and has since launched a massive social media trend that sees people embracing their inner 'brats' this summer.
