A 13-year-old was driving the pickup truck that crashed into a Ford passenger van carrying six University of the Southwest athletes and their coach on Tuesday, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) said.The legal driving age in Texas, where the fatal accident took place, is 14 years old. The teen driver has not been named. The crash killed nine people, including the pickup truck driver and a passenger. NTSB officials said Thursday that the truck's left front tire, which was a spare, also blew out before impact. The fiery crash was 'clearly a high-speed collision,' NTSB Chairman Bruce Landsberg said.
