College football coach Dana Dimel dies aged 62

assistant coach Dana Dimel has died at the age of 62, his family announced on Tuesday.

Dimel was a coach for 35 years and served as the head coach at , Houston and UTEP.

His most recent position saw him help guide Illinois to a 9-3 record this year as the program's Senior offensive assistant.
