A college student and genealogy expert helped crack the 57-year-old cold case of a young girl who was sexually assaulted and murdered while taking canned goods to a church on her way to school in 1964.Marise Ann Chiverella, 9, was last seen at around 8.10am on the morning of March 18, 1964. Her body was found in a strip mine pit in Hazle Township, more than two miles away from her home, at 1pm. She had been beaten and sexually assaulted, police said, and the canned goods she was walking to the church were found near her body.
