The potential for significant impacts from a storm Monday night through Wednesday has decreased. However, given the uncertainty in the track of the storm 3 to 5 days out, it is too soon to dismiss the threat of heavy rain, wet snow, strong winds and coastal flooding.
According to the National Weather Service, parts of New Jersey will see 1-3 inches of snow between Monday and Wednesday. Areas around Morristown and Sussex are predicted to get no snow, the weather service said. On Saturday, the coastal storm tracked further south and east, reducing the chances that it would have significant impact to the region. Still, wet snow, strong winds and even some coastal flooding are expected to begin Monday night into Tuesday morning. There might be a short reprieve before starting up again Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, forecasters said. By Karen Yi [email protected],
