The crew of an Army Black Hawk helicopter that collided with a passenger airplane were at the time it went down, according to investigators. The Black Hawk was performing a routine training mission in an effort to annual certification when it crashed into Flight 5342 as it was making its final descent at Reagan National Airport just before 9pm on January 29, killing 67 people. Investigators probing the crash have been focused on whether the soldiers on board were wearing the visual aid at the time of the collision.
