Cancer death rates have fallen ten per cent in five years across the US despite diagnoses staying level — in a sign America is getting better at treating the disease.President has already declared war on cancer, vowing to invest in new treatments and diagnoses that would see the fatality rate halved within the next 25 years.The American Cancer Society said survival rates 'accelerated' from 2015 to 2019, rising by 2.3 per cent a year compared to 1.8 per cent over the last decade-and-a-half.
