A New York castle with ties to Yankee baseball legend Derek Jeter is set to hit the auction block in December, with a minimum buying price of $6.5 million after it failed to garner interest with the original $14.75 million listing. Tiedemann Castle, a lakefront mansion located only 50 miles from Manhattan in Orange County, is slated to be auctioned on December 15 after being on and off the market since June 2018. Jeter has a long history with the estate, as his grandfather was the adopted son of the Tiedemann family, who formerly owned it.
