Discount grocery chain set to open a whopping 225 new stores this year

A popular discount grocery store chain plans to open more than 225 locations in the US this year.

, the fastest-growing grocer in the US, confirmed it would open the stores as part of its five-year national growth strategy.

This is the highest number of Aldi store openings in one year in US operations history, according to a February 7 press release.
