A pediatrician working in the heart of ' measles outbreak says the country should expect to see cases surge as more unvaccinated people get infected.
The has recorded about 90 cases of the virus, including 16 hospitalizations - all of children - and all but five of the people currently sick have been vaccinated against the measles.
Dr Lara Johnson, a pediatrician and chief medical officer at Covenant Children's Hospital in Lubbock, Texas, said she saw the first measles case in her community about one month ago.
