The Department of Justice is moving forward with a probe of the removal of 15 boxes of White House records to former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, according to a new report. People familiar with the matter told the Washington Post Thursday that the department is taking steps to launch the investigation, which is in the very early stages. It is unclear whether DOJ officials have started to review materials in the boxes — which were turned over to the National Archives and Records Administration in January — or if the department will be looking to interview people who helped assemble and move the records.
