EarthSpark TV show introduces new non-binary robot

A children's TV show has sparked outrage after it introduced a non-binary robot character, who said being neither male or female is a 'wonderful experience.'

The show Transformers: EarthSpark is based on Hasbro's beloved robot toys - and is wildly popular among kids from the ages of two to 11. But its inclusion of a neutral storyline has raised concerns among some parents.

In the controversial clip, the robot named Nightshade said: 'My pronouns are they/them,' at which point one of the humans, named Sam, responded: 'Thanks. I'm she/they...I'm sorry for how I reacted.
