Eating crisps, biscuits and cakes during pregnancy can increase the chances of children being overweight, a study suggests.Those born to mothers who overindulged in ultra-processed foods while expecting are more than a quarter more likely to be obese regardless of other lifestyle factors, scientists found.Experts believe a poor maternal diet could alter genes involved in the regulation of growth, energy balance and insulin resistance in offspring.
