Ex-Green Beret says Michael Strahan act 'not disrespectful in any way'

Ex-Green Beret and NFL player Nate Boyer has leapt to Michael Strahan's defense after branding the outrage over his 'ridiculous'.

Strahan sparked anger over the weekend after failing to put his hand on his heart when the national anthem was played during a Fox Sports show from the San Diego Naval Base ahead of Veterans Day.

The former star - who on Tuesday when asked for a comment on the matter - was the only member of the network's NFL team standing with his hands interlocked in front of him.
