A former Institute of Technology professor who once staged his own shooting has been found guilty of forgery and other charges in a scheme to swindle $5 million from his dead son's estate.John Donovan Sr, 80, of Hamilton, Massachusetts was convicted on Tuesday by a jury in Salem Superior Court after a monthlong trial and four hours of deliberations.In a separate plot, Donovan was previously convicted of staging his own shooting in 2007 and falsely accusing one of his sons, a Goldman Sachs executive who later dated Trump administration official Hope Hicks, of hiring Russian hitmen to kill him.
