Former State Department spokesperson Morgan Ortagus officially launched her bid for Congress on Monday after a glowing endorsement from former President Donald Trump. Ortagus, 39, announced on Fox News that she is running as a Republican to represent Tennessee’s new Fifth District, a seat that is being vacated by retiring Democratic Rep. Jim Cooper. “I have raised my hand and I have volunteered to join the military, to serve in the Trump administration, and I’m really excited to announce this morning that I am raising my hand to run for Congress in Tennessee District 5,” Ortagus told “Fox & Friends.”
