American children are reporting an increasing number of mental health issues, and while the pandemic certainly exacerbated issues, figures had already been rising for years before Covid took over the world in 2020.Researchers from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) found that nearly ten percent of American children 17 or young reported symptoms of anxiety, with just under five percent reporting symptoms.Around eight percent of children also had reported behavior or conduct issues in 2020.
