Fans set off fireworks inside India cinema when Salman Khan appears

Movie-goers in were left terrified on Sunday after a group of fans set off fireworks inside a cinema after Bollywood star Salman Khan appeared on screen.

Footage shared to social media shows dozens of people erupting in panic as fireworks were lit inside the theatre in Malegaon, Maharashtra.

Video appears to show fans waiting for the appearance of movie-star Khan on the screen before pyrotechnics are launched into the air.
