The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has issued a record breaking $299,997,000 million fine against an auto warranty scam call operation.The fine hit an 'international network of companies' after more than five billion robocalls were made to more than 500 million phone numbers in a three-month period in 2021.The companies were said to have violated federal statutes, FCC regulation and federal spoofing laws by using more than one million different caller IDs to trick people.
