Fifth Third Bank shutters 19 branches while Citizens Bank closes 7

Fifth Third Bank filed last week to close 19 brick-and-mortar locations across the country.

Of the filings made by the bank, which is headquartered in Cincinnati, eight were for branches in , four were in and two were in and respectively.

, Georgia and each had one branch which the bank, which operates over 1,000 branches in ten states, filed to ax - according to a weekly bulletin published Friday by Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC).
