Filipino boxer Kenneth Egano dies after falling into a coma

Kenneth Egano, a 22-year-old Filipino boxer who collapsed into a coma following his bout with Jason Facularin on May 6, has died.

Fighting on a card promoted by , Egano collapsed in his corner of the ring following his eight-round bout with Facularin at the Imus Sports Gymnasium in Imus, Cavite, Philippines.

Footage from the event showed distressing scenes in which he appeared in significant discomfort while waiting for the scorecards before collapsing and being rushed away on a stretcher.
