The first migrants illegally crossing the U.S.-Mexico border since a federal judge lifted a pandemic-era rule to rapidly expel them have arrived by bus in Philadelphia. The bus arrived early just after 6 am Wednesday morning from Texas carrying around 50 migrants, including children and their mothers, who will be processed while they seek asylum.Texas Governor Greg Abbot has ordered arriving migrants to be sent from the state to so-called 'sanctuary cities' elsewhere, calling the dropping of a rule forcing asylum seekers to be returned immediately across the border an 'invasion.'
