A California task force has released a 1,075-page final report outlining proposals for how the state can make reparations for the harms done to Black families throughout the history of the United States.The report, released on Thursday, coincided with the task force’s final meeting, culminating nearly three years of research and community panels.It also marked the most ambitious effort to date to redress the long legacy of slavery and racial discrimination in the US.
