A freshman is recovering after she was struck by lightning as she walked to her first day of classes at the University of West Florida.Emma Eggler, 18, who is originally from , , was about to start the first day of her freshman classes in Pensacola when she was suddenly hit by a bolt in her chest, forcing her to the ground at around 2pm on Monday.The force of the blast ripped off her sweater, caused Eggler's watch to explode, and even blew a hole in one of her shoes and socks.
