Miami Dade College Women's Day Conference

The event “Status of Women’ in Today’s World” was a collaboration of Miami Turkish Consulate and Miami Dade College and the speakers were 2 prominent Turkish women. rnMain speaker of the conference was well known Turkish physicist Prof Dr Yeşim Darıcı, the second speaker was Ms. Sevi Sari, the Chairwomen of Association of Turkish American Business Women.
There were some Turkish attendees but majority of the attendees of the conference were Americans. In her short speech, the first speaker Ms. Sari told men that they have an important role to play in closing the unfair gap in the economic status of women and men in today's world and made specific recommendation on how they can help to close this gap.
