A 20-year brotherly spat in a courtroom has ended with one of five siblings having to pay $7 billion to the other four for misappropriating the family's money and real estate assets. The Jogani brothers - who range in age from their 50s to their 70s - have been tangled in a lawsuit dating back to 2003, when Shashikant Jogani sued brother Haresh for not living up to an oral agreement made between the two of them and three other brothers.Haresh had agreed verbally to share in his portfolio that now totals more than 170 apartment buildings with 17,000 units, largely in the San Fernando Valley but had never signed a contract.
