Scientists have released the full report that made headlines last week linking Covid's origins to raccoon dogs sold at an infamous wet market in .The paper, which has not been peer-reviewed and , suggests the fox-like mammals sold at the slaughter market were carrying Covid at the end of 2019.It found genetic material from raccoon dogs and several other animals known to harbor Covid were located in some of the same stalls where SARS-CoV-2's genome was also present at the time of the initial outbreak.
