Gen Zers are not turning their backs on religion, and the growing number of young adults who embrace spirituality cope better with the mental health challenges from , new research shows.Springtide Research Institute, a nonpartisan nonprofit, found that 77 percent of Gen Zers describe themselves as spiritual, and 68 percent say they are religious — results that have held steady for several years.They also found that about one-third of 18-to-25-year-olds say they believe — more than doubt — the existence of a 'higher power,' up from about one-quarter in 2021, according to a survey from December.
