San Francisco Giants first-base coach Antoan Richardson and San Diego Padres third-base coach Mike Shildt have made amends after an on-field altercation with allegedly racist undertones at Tuesday's game at Oracle Park.Richardson was ejected following the spat, paving the way for Giants assistant Alyssa Nakken to take over at first base to become the first woman to ever serve as an on-field coach during a regular-season game. Nakken, an assistant who primarily focuses on base running and outfield defense, previously coached first base during a pair of exhibitions in 2020.On Wednesday Richardson, who is black, and Shildt, who is white, were seen sharing a few words and a hug prior to their respective teams' matinee. Richardson clarified to reporters that he doesn't believe Shildt is a racist while the Padres' assistant coach said he apologized to his counterpart on the Giants.
