A North Carolina candidate is calling for his Democratic rival to apologize for a campaign ad that was released on the same day his parents' home was shot at while his kids slept inside. Former Green Beret, Pat Harrigan, 35, who's running for an open seat in the state's left-leaning 14th Congressional District, claims that the ad features his lake house, which is near his parents' house that was shot at on October 18. A single bullet shattered a window in the room directly below where his children, ages three and five, were sleeping. No one was injured, but the children have been relocated out-of-state for their safety.
