A death-defying stunt that would have seen two skydiving pilots jump out of their respective aircraft in order to perform a mid-air swap into each other's planes, has ended in failure after one of the single-engine Cessna's lost control, crashing into the desert. Skydiving cousins Luke Aikins, 48, and Andy Farrington, 39, attempted to make history by switching airplanes while in flight on Sunday afternoon, making the first-ever dual skydive into separate aircraft. But the stunt, which was denied a permit by the FAA even before the planes took off, saw one of the aircraft suddenly spiral out of control.
