High school band member elbowed by cop during NOLA Mardi Gras parade

Video of a police officer apparently shoving a high schooler at a Mardi Gras parade in New Orleans has ruffled some feathers online and locally.

Brandon Mitchell, a student at a local charter school, was marching with the L.B. Landry High School band at Thursday evening's Krewe of Muses parade - one of the biggest of the season.

During a pause in the marching, a New Orleans Police Department officer is seen on video apparently elbowing the student, who was positioned right beside him at the time.
