The strongest hurricane to ever strike 's Pacific coast in May since record keeping began in 1949, weakened into a tropical storm but could become the first of the Atlantic hurricane season and slam by the weekend.Hurricane Agatha was expected to continue weakening Tuesday and dissipate over southern Mexico by Tuesday afternoon, the U.S. National Hurricane Center in Miami said.The NHC said estimates that there is a 60 percent chance that Agatha's remnants may turn into the first tropical storm of the Atlantic hurricane season over the next five days.
