More than a dozen people were arrested Monday and charged with involvement in a drug ring that sold cocaine across multiple counties in New Jersey, authorities said.A total of 17 people were arrested in Morris, Passaic and Bergen counties, Morris County Prosecutor Fredric Knapp said in a news release.Authorities also seized more than 150 grams of cocaine, about $5,200 in cash, and four vehicles used by the alleged ringleader and dealers.Knapp said Michael Swanson, a 41-year-old Hackensack resident, had eight “employees” who traveled around the county and elsewhere in North Jersey to distribute drugs. The other eight arrested were accused of re-selling the drugs.Swanson was charged with several drug possession and distribution charges along with leading a drug trafficking network, a first-degree offense.
